October, 29th, 2019, Bank of Italy authorized Entangled Capital SGR, a new Italian asset management company dedicated to Private Equity direct funds, established by Roberto Giudici and Anna Guglielmi.
The aim is to invest in industrial companies that can benefit from an effective professional and managerial support, as well as financial, in their process of dimensional development.
Thanks to the involvement, in the initial phase of the investment process, of a group of entrepreneurs and managers, identified as Operating Partners, the SGR intends to combine the skills earned by the management team with the experience gained by the Operating Partners in industrial, production and technological realities, with the aim of promoting a more operational approach.
The same attention is also dedicated to investors who will subscribe to the Fund, invited to share investment experiences for a better alignment of interests and to increase communication aiming to keep LPs closer to build long-term relationships.
The choice of setting up an authorized asset management company to be a partner for institutional investors who want to invest in the Italian real economy with a supervised financial instrument, suitable for a medium-term relationship, less volatile and less correlated to the economic trend of the markets, suitable also to implement sustainable criteria in the portfolio companies.
The Fund target is to raise Euro 100 million (hard-cap Euro 150 million) to execute 8 to 10 investments, acquiring the majority stakes of SMEs, in order to create value and, therefore, returns for our investors, through a development process both organic and with add-on acquisitions, contributing to the professionalization process of portfolio companies, including ESG criteria to economic and financial tools.
Entangled Capital SGR has been assisted by the partners Avv. Dino Donato Abate and Avv. Alberto Manfroi of the Atrigna & Partners law firm in all the activities related to the presentation of the application to be authorized by Bank of Italy.
Co-founders Roberto Giudici and Anna Guglielmi have worked together, sharing professional experience in another SGR, since 2012, managing three private equity funds with total AUM of Euro 480 million.
Roberto Giudici has over 10 years of Private Equity experience as Senior Investment Manager and Key Man of 3 Private Equity funds, with total AUM of € 480M. Formerly in EY London – Transaction Services and in PwC Milan – Advisory.
Anan Guglielmi has 10 years of experience in Asset Management corporate activities as Responsible for Investor Relations, business development and Risk Manager. Formerly consultant in AlixPartners.
The SGR has involved entrepreneurs and professionals with proven experience within its governance.
Dr. Edoardo Guffanti of Studio FiveLex has been appointed as Chairman of the board of the Directors.
